Sulfur Cinquefoil
Information | Images
Potentilla recta
Perennial
Identification and management tips
- Sulfur cinquefoil has 5 light yellow, heart-shaped petals surrounding a darker yellow center.
- Leaves are palmately lobed (like fingers on a hand), green on the underside, unlike native cinquefoils which are silver on the underside.
- For small infestations, pull or dig up plants and remove as much root as possible so the plant will not re-sprout. Monitor intensely over the summer for new plants.
